Mission Statement:
The mission of the Akron Area Interfaith Council (AAIC) shall be to, coordinate, and enable effective interfaith responses to the social, moral, ethical, and cultural issues of our community and to promote freedom of religion, equality, and understanding.
Interfaith Members:
Current members of the Akron Area Interfaith Council (AAIC) represent the following Faith Based Congegations and/or the following Non Profit Organizations fully supporting the mission of the AAIC.
Council Meetings:
The first Tuesday of every other Month from August through June.

Normally held at a member congregation (Aug. 2012 through Dec. 2012 at Fairlawn West UCC)
Dues:
Council member's annual dues of $25.00 are due in August, for the period of August through July .

Visitors are welcome with prior authorization by the AAIC President (currently Jim Geisey at
330.678.0226 or jgeisey@sbcglobal.net).
The Following Standing Committees are made up of a Moderator -- elected by the AAIC Council -- and interested members. Members are not obligated to pay the $25 annual AAIC dues. The committees meet every other month or as needed.
Spiritual Life Committee (interfaith worship and prayer services...)
Education Committee (forums, workshops, speakers...)
Public Interface Committee (annual meeting and publicity...)
Social Jusice and Peace Committee (moral, ethical, cultural issues, annual Hunger Walk...)
